Anne Chris was born in Alkmaar and studied singing at the conservatory in Amsterdam. She performs throughout the Netherlands and abroad as a professional singer with her own accompaniment the "Anne Chris band".
She composes and writes her own lyrics. Her second CD "Play for now" was released in January 2010. You can clearly hear her fascination for jazz in her music. Her lyrics are partly autobiiographical. She is accompanied by outstanding musicians and they work well together.
She lives and works in Amsterdam, where she gives singing lessons between performing, composing and writing.
Anne Chris is a very talented young woman, who explains in this documentary what drives her in her music.
